A Former Trump Staffer Was Found Guilty Of Ten Counts Of Election Fraud From 2012 And Sent To Prison

I wish I could say I'm surprised.

Recently, we covered a bombshell report from the New York Times that revealed deeper details into ex-president Donald Trump’s attempts to sway the election into his favor after he lost fair and square to Joe Biden, by trying to convince the United States Department of Justice to “Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me.”

Trump allegedly attempted to push the DOJ to declare corruption that wasn’t there. At least, not on the side he wanted it to be.

Donald and his people have been trying for months now to somehow prove their Big Lie regarding nonexistent fraud and corruption within the 2020 presidential election. But frankly, the only fraud and corruption we’ve seen have come from his own backyard.

Given the news that broke recently, we thought it was a perfect time to remind people that back in 2016, one of Donald Trump’s very own campaign employees was found guilty on not one, not two, but a staggering 10 counts of election fraud, per a report from The Independent.

According to the report, political activist Brandon Hall was found guilty on charges of forging signatures on petition forms back in 2012 and faced up to 5 years in prison for his crimes.

Hall and his friend Zachary Savage were accused of forging signatures in support of judicial candidate Chris Houtaling.

The Grand Haven Tribune reported at the time that Savage was able to secure immunity for his crimes from the Attorney General’s office by cooperating and giving his testimony in the case.

At the time, executive director for Progress Michigan, Lonnie Scott, said, “Donald Trump has made claim after claim calling the integrity of the election into question, but his Michigan campaign had no problem hiring a staff member facing election law charges,” according to the Grand Haven Tribune.

“The fact that the Trump campaign and the Michigan Republican Party embraced Brandon Hall is just one more reason to recount and audit the vote in Michigan.”

While this particular instance of corruption is long past, let this serve as a reminder to Donald Trump and all his people — be sure you’re own closet is clean before you go accusing others of things they didn’t do. It’s just not a good look.
