Today’s public impeachment hearing — the very same one that the GOP party demanded go public after an immature hissy fit complete with storming the closed-door hearings — has gone about as well for the Republicans and Donald Trump as last week’s did. So, not well at all, in case you haven’t been keeping up.
With each one of these public witness testimonies, the Republican party is forced to get more and more desperate in their attempts to defend “president” Donald Trump — as so far every single one of them has just confirmed what we already essentially knew, POTUS is guilty as hell. He did precisely what he’s being accused of. Plain and simple. Point blank. Period.
This has resulted in more than a few shady tactics from Trump’s party. GOP members of the House Intelligence Committee have spent the majority of their time throughout the hearings parroting ridiculous conspiracy theories, attacking witnesses with baseless nonsense, and all-around attempting to skew the narrative in hopes that someone, anyone, will be dumb enough to drink their Kool-Aid.
And one of their most favorite scapegoats thus far has been none other than the whistleblower themselves. The brave soul that kickstarted the beginning of the end for Trump and likely most of his cabinet.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed if you’ve been watching the hearings over the past several days, some dimwitted Republican or another is doing their damndest to have the whistleblower outed publicly approximately every 2.5 seconds.
They want to know who it is, where they came from, their mother’s maiden name, the last four digits of their social security number, their blood type, and their great-great-grandfather’s political affiliation — all while claiming the Democrats are the only ones to know who the individual is, even though Democrats insist they don’t.
Frankly, it’s nothing more than a distraction technique because that’s literally all they have left anymore.
But regardless of their reasoning behind the tactic, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has made it strikingly clear that he has no intention of standing for the bullshit.
In closing today’s 11-hour impeachment hearings, Schiff took up a letter submitted by GOP members this morning in which they demanded that subpoenas be issued for both Hunter Biden and the anonymous whistleblower as well as various other documents.
Schiff responded appropriately by positively shutting them the fuck down.
After announcing that he had received the ranking member’s request for said subpoenas, Schiff added the requests to the record before stating matter-of-factly, “I do not concur in these requests for subpoenas. We will not allow, as I said before, this committee to be used either to out the whistleblower or for purposes of engaging in the same improper investigation that the president sought to coerce Ukraine to commit.”
Chairman Schiff proceeded to shut the GOP attempt down despite rather loud protests from Republican Rep. Mr. Conway who repeatedly spoke over the committee chairman with near-screams of “point of order, Mr. Chairman!”
It’s 100 percent clear that this point that Adam Schiff, regardless of what GOPers want, has every intention of putting his country and the safety of those who are determined to protect it over everything else — and that includes both party and pouty Republicans.
