For someone that claims he has no desire to make any profit off of his presidency, makes regular statements about supposedly not being “in it for the money,” and especially someone that’s trying to take the heat of corruption off of himself, Donald Trump sure is about to make himself a pretty penny off of one of his most favorite, hand-picked appointees.
According to a new report from the Washington Post‘s David Farenthold, Trump’s hand-picked Attorney General, Bill Barr is soon to drop a whopping $30,000 in Donnie’s bank account for a holiday party he plans to hold at the Trump Hotel in Washington, DC.
According to the contract obtained by Farenthold, the holiday party hosted by one of Donald’s most favorite minions will be complete with a 200-person guest list, a buffet, and a four-hour-long open bar.
Barr is, of course, attempting to cover his own wide behind by claiming that the shindig is being paid for out of his own pocket, not by any government entity, and the only reason he chose the Trump Hotel was that both The Willard and The Mayflower were all booked up.

One anonymous Justice Department official, who wished to keep their name private because the party is a personal event rather than one directly correlated to the department, stated, “Career ethics officials were consulted, and they determined that ethics rules did not prohibit him from hosting his annual party at the Trump hotel.”
Keep in mind that this move by Trump’s Attorney General is coming hot on the heels of Trump’s own move to hold the next G7 Summit, which will be hosted by the US, at his personal resort — where he stands to make a lot of cash as well as bragging rights.
This is yet another instance of the blatant corruption that’s taking place inside his administration. It seems that Trump truly is the conman we all knew he was — he’ll happily take every last dime he can from anyone looking to make themselves into the “ultimate Trump supporter.”
