Trump released a statement tweeted out by his spokesperson Liz Harrington to circumvent his ban on the behemoth social site. Trump claims that “this endeavor is about much more than politics. This is about saving our country.” Yes, Trump wants you to believe that he’s launching a social site and he will save the country with his new investment.
Trump further alleges that ‘there will be no shadow-banning, throttling, demonetizing, or messing with algorithms for political manipulation. We will not be treating users like lab rats for social experiments, or labeling alternative views as “disinformation.”‘

Aside from all the other problems with Truth Social, the site will only attract the red hats. It can’t possibly do as well as Facebook and Twitter because it’s only for a select group of people.
