Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) blocked Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) effort on Tuesday to unanimously pass a House standalone measure to increase the size of direly needed stimulus checks for Americans from $600 to $2,000 per person. That was something that Donald Trump supported, but McConnell couldn’t do the right thing for a change. And even Georgia’s biggest wealthy grifters, Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.), on Tuesday both came out in favor of increasing direct payments in the COVID-19 relief package. Of course, they did that as Georgians are struggling, and they are both behind in the polls to their Democratic challengers that both favor the increase.
McConnell is the problem in getting relief to struggling Americans. But hey, Sen. McTurtleshit got his coronavirus vaccine on the 18th, so he’s good! And in this tweet, McConnell claimed that he was going to “continue fighting for a rescue package for distribution so more Americans can receive it as fast as possible.”
Just received the safe, effective COVID vaccine following continuity-of-government protocols. Vaccines are how we beat this virus.
Now back to continue fighting for a rescue package including a lot more money for distribution so more Americans can receive it as fast as possible. pic.twitter.com/kSBhI3EzzM

McConnell is the last one that should be able to jump the line for the vaccine.
Anyone who downplayed the seriousness of this pandemic should be at the end of the line for vaccination.

The House voted 275-134 to pass the $2,000 direct payments bill on Tuesday. Forty-four Republicans joined the majority of Democrats to get relief to the American people. McConnell doesn’t give a shit about Americans suddenly finding it difficult to put food on the table.
