Americans Remind Kaleigh McEnany About Her Role As Press Secretary After She Tells Hosts To Direct Their Question To The White House: “Says The Person Who (Checks Notes) Speaks On Behalf Of The White House”

That's literally in her job description.

Joe Biden still doesn’t have access to presidential daily intelligence briefings, one of a presidential candidate’s first rights after winning the election. And of course, Donald Trump still hasn’t conceded the race even though President-elect Joe Biden handily won the popular and electoral vote. Trump still has not accepted the election results, and his administration has not yet authorized Biden and his team to start receiving intel briefings. As an incoming president, Biden needs to be prepared on the day he takes office.

A White House press secretary’s job description includes being a senior White House official whose primary responsibility is to act as spokesperson for the executive branch of the United States government — but White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany seems to be a bit confused about that. McEnany was asked about when Biden will receive his daily intel briefings, and unsurprisingly, she said that’s a question for the White House — and we all know who currently resides there.

And there’s this little nugget:

Twitter users pounced:

In November of 2016, when Kayleigh McEnany was a CNN contributor, she said, “You have people trying to delegitimize the President-elect of the United States right now. You have people out there that are calling for recounts that are unsubstantiated based on no evidence.”

Biden and his senior advisers need to receive the President’s Daily Brief. Our adversaries are not going to wait for the hissy fits to end before acting against us. In other words, this administration is putting this country at a national security risk simply because Donald J. Trump received a narcissistic injury. Trump has never vowed to allow a peaceful transition of power. Imagine being so self-absorbed that you’d put the country at risk because your feelings are hurt.
