As The US Surpasses 6 Million COVID Cases, Trump Kicks Off His Morning Slamming the NBA: “Ratings Are WAY Down, And They Won’t Be Coming Back”

Ah yes, priorities.

After a thoroughly crazy-time interview with Laura Ingraham last night, and today marking over six million cases of COVID-19 in the United States, Donald Trump sprang into action by shouting at the National Basketball Association on Twitter — as one does. NBA teams have been united behind the Black Lives Matter movement that has swept across the globe, and they are using their celebrity status to highlight systematic racism.

That thought, however, seems to eat away at the president. In my opinion, the current president is trying to foment a race war just ahead of the election in November. A president’s job, though, is to de-escalate tense situations and calm the waters. But, Trump took to Twitter to do the exact opposite.

Twitter users piled in.

This:

Mapping Police Violence, a crowdsourced database that includes deaths by vehicle, tasering, or beating in addition to shootings, estimates twenty-five police killings of unarmed Black men in 2019. Apparently, the president is OK with that. Trump is in battle with athletes that choose to take a knee in silent protest instead of the coronavirus pandemic.
