Just earlier today, we reported that ex-President Trump is starting to feel the heat of the January 6th House Select Committee’s investigation of the events leading up to the infamous Capitol riot, according to sources close to the disgraced ex-president. According to reporting, the recent bombshell revelations regarding numerous text messages sent to Donald’s then Chief of Staff Mark Meadows during the violent attack.
The common theme among the messages sent to Meadows by more than a few of Donald’s very own allies was simple — make the President make his supporters stop. The inpouring of messages that have recently been publicly released has severed to shine a bright light on what appeared to be Trump’s all but refused to do a damn thing about his supporters violently storming the nation’s Capitol building.
And it’s got the former president growing “anxious” and “increasingly agitated,” according to those close to him.
And it’s only going to get worse.
Outgoing Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who serves on the House Select Committee that’s currently investigating the January 6th events, made an appearance on multiple news segments on Sunday where he revealed that the committee is far from through with their investigation into not only the riot itself but Donald Trump’s connection to it, on a criminal level.

Speaking with CNN’s State of the Union co-host Jake Tapper, Kinzinger revealed that the committee is currently looking into whether or not Donald Trump violated a criminal statute.
When asked directly by Tapper if he believed Trump committed a crime, Kinzinger said, “I do not want to go there yet … because that’s obviously a big thing to say.”
Tapper opened the segment with the GOP House Rep., who is one of only two Republicans serving on the committee, with a clip of Rep. Liz Cheney appearing to reference a criminal statute violation while discussing the work being done by the committee.
“Whoever corruptly obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding or attempts to do so shall be fined or imprisoned, not more than 20 years, or both,” Cheney says in the clip.
Kinzinger adds, “I think we will, by the end of our investigation and by the time our report is out, have a pretty good idea,” admitting that the committee is looking into Trump’s actions surrounding the riot.
“Nobody, Jake, is above the law. Nobody. Not the president — he’s not a king — not former presidents, they aren’t former kings. Nobody is above the law. And if the president knowingly allowed what happened on Jan. 6 to happen, and, in fact, was giddy about it, and that violates a criminal statute, he needs to be held accountable for that,” he stated.
Tapper pushed Kinzinger to clarify, asking, “so you are looking into that?”
“Yeah, we are looking into that,” the House Rep. answered.
Kinzinger sat down for a separate interview with ABC News’ This Week, where he was questioned about his GOP colleagues and their possible connection to the January 6th events.
“Do you think that some of your Republican colleagues bear direct responsibility for that riot [on January 6]?” ABC’s Jonathan Karl questioned.
“It’s possible,” Adam responded. “I’m not ready to kind of go to that point yet because I want to let the facts dictate it. But I will tell you, yes there are more texts out there that we haven’t released.”
He goes on to note that the committee will “absolutely” issue subpoenas for Republican members of Congress if they find it necessary, and even for Trump himself if it comes to that.
“Nobody, member of Congress, former president, nobody in America is above the law,” the GOP House Rep. asserted once again.
