Donald Trump is has been known to do a whole lot of weird shit over the years. Frankly, most of it is stuff that doesn’t even make any sense. He tends to tell lies that don’t seem as though they stand to serve him personally in any way, whatsoever. He just lies to be lying.
And today’s new report from the Washington Post is a prime example of what I’m talking about.
In one of their more peculiar news stories, the Post released an audio clip from 1991, in which it appears that Donald Trump, for whatever reason, is pretending to be his own PR guy.
The audio clip is from a 1991 People Magazine interview between reporter Sue Carswell and an individual claiming to be Trump organization spokesperson “John Miller.” However, “Miller” has an uncannily similar-sounding voice to the washed-up reality TV star himself.
The person claiming to be John Miller but who is almost assuredly actually Donald Trump spent the duration of the interview toting his “boss’s” real-estate success, chick magnet magnitude, and that one time Donnie went out with Madonna. He said things like, “He’s probably doing as well as anybody there is,” “Actresses just call to see if they can go out with him and things,” and “He’s got zero interest in Madonna, it was literally the end.”

The Post notes in their report that being directed to PR guys John Miller and John Barron (another common name for a Trump spokesperson who also had startling similarities to the mogul himself) was pretty typical among reporters who had the duty of covering Donald Trump when he was at the height of his “success.”
Marc Fisher writes:
“[The audio] captures what New York reporters and editors who covered Trump’s early career experienced in the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s: calls from Trump’s Manhattan office that resulted in conversations with ‘John Miller’ or ‘John Barron’—public-relations men who sound precisely like Trump himself — who indeed are Trump.”
Donald actually testified in the ’90s that he had a tendency to use the moniker “John Miller” as an alias, but still ended up calling into NBC’s Today Show when he was the Republican nominee to declare, on the record, that it was not him simply pretending to be his PR guy on the audio recording.
He told the hosts, “No, it doesn’t sound like my voice at all. I have many, many people that are trying to imitate my voice, and you can imagine that, and this sounds like one of the scams, one of the many scams.”
“No, it was not me on the phone, and it doesn’t sound like me on the phone, I’ll tell you that, and it was not me on the phone,” the then-candidate went on. “And when was this? Twenty-five years ago? Wow, you mean you’re going so low as to talk about something that took place 25 years ago about whether or not I made a phone call I guess you’d say under a presumed name.”
But that’s not the end of it, folks. Oooohhhh noooo. Not even close.
The reporter who conducted the original interview way back when, Sue Carswell, weighed in on the subject herself and explained to ABC that she never shared the audio with anyone else, meaning that the recording had to have come from Trump himself.
