Bar Associaton’s Standing Committee Laid Waste To The Horrid Allegations From Republicans Like Lindsey Graham And Ted Cruz Against Supreme Court Nominee Jackson During Their Testimony At Confirmation Hearing

BOOM!!!

The Republican Senate Stooges (I.e. Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, and Josh Hawley) have frankly spent this entire week making complete and utter asses out of themselves during the confirmation hearings for President Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

They have spent their hours trying to publicly trash Jackson on everything from the notion that she is somehow “soft” on sentencing for child pornography cases, to her past representation of Guantanamo detainees, to the mere idea of critical race theory— with Graham specifically getting so fired up that he stormed out of the room entirely, following a screaming match with the Chairman, not just once, but twice. Their behavior has been so abhorrent that even their Republican colleague called his fellow senators out for acting like fools simply because they’re vying for their 15 minutes of fame on Fox News.

But all of those bullshit arguments and accusations were effectively laid to waste when representatives from the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding their evaluation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

The Standing Committee had already previously given Jackson their highest rating possible of “Well Qualified.” This week, committee chair Judge Ann Claire Williams (Ret.) of Chicago and standing committee members D. Jean Veta of Washington, D.C., and Joseph M. Drayton of New York City, the lead evaluators for the committee, appeared and testified at Jackson’s confirmation hearings.

The American Bar Association reports:

During the ABA testimony on Day 4, Williams explained to the Senate committee that the ABA does not ‘recommend or endorse any nominee.’ She helped explain that the Standing Committee is independent from the ABA and tasked just with the evaluations, and noted the importance of confidentiality in the process.

When asked if the evaluation found any evidence that Jackson was soft on crime, Veta said one of the respondents said they ‘vehemently disagree’ while another said it was ‘absolutely not borne out based on my experience.’ As far as being out of the mainstream in sentencing, Drayton said that of all the prosecutors and defense attorneys interviewed who worked with Jackson, ‘none of them believed she showed any bias.’

More than 250 judges, attorneys and academics of all political persuasions and across every aspect of Jackson’s professional career responded and consistently used the words ‘brilliant,’ ‘thoughtful,’ ‘thorough,’ ‘beyond reproach,’ ‘fair,’ ‘respectful’ and ’eminently qualified.'”

The entire report on the ABA’s confirmation hearing testimony absolutely destroys pretty much every single ridiculous argument and accusations these Republican halfwits have thrown at Jackson this week.

To be as frank as possible, all three of these idiots can take a damn seat now.
