Frankly, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham is pretty well known for running his mouth at every opportunity he gets. Whether it be about the border, President Biden, or fast food chicken joints, the deep-fried chicken shit senator pretty much always has something to say. I guess it’s the only way he thinks he can stay relevant.

Most of the time, the dude is pretty easy to ignore, especially considering that almost nothing he ever says bears any real importance. However, every once in a while, the guy will come off with something so outlandish that you have to stop for a moment and say… “Huh?”

At least, that’s what seemed to happen to one BBC reporter who recently spoke with the Trump-supporting South Carolina GOP senator.

During BBC host Stephen Sackur’s recent interview with Graham. Sackur was seemingly taken aback when the GOP Congressman asserted that the United States will soon be sending troops back to Afghanistan.

The remarks came from Graham during an interview on BBC’s HARDtalk program, where Lindsey was unsurprisingly heaping the praise on disgraced former President Donald Trump.

“He rebuilt the military,” Graham bragged. “Whether you like Trump or not, whether you believe it’s Trump’s fault or Biden’s fault, here’s where we’re at as a world. The Taliban are not reformed, they’re not new. They have a view of the world out of sync with modern times.”

“But most importantly, they’re going to give safe haven to Al Qaeda who has ambitions to drive us out of the Middle East writ large,” the South Carolina senator went on. “We will be going back into Afghanistan as we went back into Iraq and Syria.”

It was at this point that Sackur interrupted, saying, “Are you serious? You think the United States will once again, in the foreseeable future, put troops back into Afghanistan?”

“We’ll have to,” Graham insisted in response. “Because the threat will be so large.”
