Biden Says He’s Not Worried About The Upcoming Debate Because Trump Is “Not That Smart”

He's not wrong.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and Donald Trump have little time left to prepare for their showdown debate in Cleveland on Tuesday. For some reason, Trump has decided to skip any formal preparation while Biden has been aggressively preparing to take on the president, according to the Associated Press.

That doesn’t sound very wise of the president to forgo any preparation to debate a skilled politician with a good resume like Biden. And we all witnessed how Trump behaved onstage with Hillary Clinton in 2016 as he appeared to be stalking the former Democratic nominee. This time is different, though, as there’s so much at stake for this country amid multiple national crises.

On Saturday, Biden didn’t seem worried about the first debate against Trump because, he said, “people know the president is a liar.”

Speaking on MSNBC with Stephanie Ruhle, Biden said he’ll take the fight to Trump on the debate stage.

“I’m prepared to go out and make my case as to why I think he’s failed and why I think the answers I have to proceed will help the American people, the American economy, and make us safer internationally,” Biden said.

“He doesn’t know how to debate the facts, because he’s not that smart,” Biden continued to say. “He doesn’t know that many facts. He doesn’t know much about foreign policy. He doesn’t know much about domestic policy. He doesn’t know much about the details.”

Watch:

Biden isn’t wrong. We’ve all heard Trump’s lies in Bob Woodward’s audio recordings when he downplayed the coronavirus while knowing how dangerous it was. And Trump can make all the excuses he wants for lying to the American people amid the pandemic, but the disease has now taken well over two hundred thousand lives in the United States. There is no excuse for that.

Instead of springing into action, Trump golfed twenty-five times from the first known death in the US from COVID-19 to Sept. 22. And still, with all the deaths, Trump holds super-spreader rallies while mocking social distancing. To me, lying about the pandemic is the worst lie that he’s told the American people. And yeah, Trump isn’t an intelligent guy. He’s so stupid; he’s not even preparing for the debate.
