Donald Trump took to Twitter to use Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s own former chief of staff against him, but that didn’t work out very well. Trump tried to claim that Ronald Klain, who served as former vice-president Joe Biden’s chief of staff during the spread of H1N1, said that Biden “didn’t know what he was doing.” And mind you, Trump is presiding over the coronavirus pandemic that has taken over two hundred and thirty-one thousand American lives. Trump has routinely mocked mask-wearing as well as social distancing guidelines.
Trump is incapable of telling the truth.
Biden was a pathetic laughing stock all over Washington for the horrible way he handled the H1N1 Swine Flu. Even his own Chief of Staff said he didn’t know what he was doing!

Klain offered a massive clap back:
I’m that guy. And if Donald Trump really cares about what I think, here you go: no President has bungled anything, ever, as badly as Trump has bungled COVID. Period. https://t.co/mZhVgBhfGR

Biden has never been a laughing stock, and H1N1 was handled well by the Obama administration. The Trump administration has bungled the coronavirus pandemic at every turn, and the president has continued to hold super-spreader rallies. Trump has, though, been considered a laughing stock even by world leaders. The “I take no responsibility” president is once again flinging shit and hoping that some of it sticks on his challenger.
Via Factcheck.org:
…the CDC began releasing antiviral drugs to treat the H1N1 flu on April 26, the same day of Obama’s public health emergency declaration, and two days later the FDA approved a new CDC test for the disease. By April 30, Obama formally requested $1.5 billion from Congress to address the outbreak (the Obama administration later asked for nearly $9 billion). And a vaccine was made available in about six months.
What Trump throws out as fact is easily debunkable. Obama and Biden didn’t mock the pandemic that took place on their watch. H1N1 was taken seriously. Trump, in contrast, surrendered to the coronavirus without putting up a fight.
