Over the weeks and months since November’s presidential election, Donald Trump has watched his support system within the United States government crumble before his eyes — with the most notable to jump ship being his own, personally hand-picked Attorney General Bill Barr.
Over the course of Donald’s sorry excuse for a presidency, Bill Barr was perhaps his most devout jockey, often happily and willingly bending to most every whim the now-outgoing president had. However, like many others who were loyal to Donald Trump for so long, the baseless and dangerous conspiracy theories surrounding the United States presidential election being touted by Trump from the rooftops appeared to be the straw that finally broke the camel’s back for Bill Barr.
Last month, Barr finally made it clear that he, in conjunction with the Department of Justice, was unable to find any evidence supporting Trump’s harmful claims about our democracy and admitted to the American public that the claims were just that — baseless claims — and our election and democracy was and is secure. This ultimately resulted in the Attorney General’s resignation from his post at the DOJ, though many believe that it was far more along the lines of a termination by Trump himself.
For the most part, Barr has been largely quiet after leaving his DOJ position last month. However, with yesterday’s attack on the nation still heavy in the air, the former Trump AG is now breaking his silence and speaking out on the heinous acts perpetrated and peddled by Donald Trump and his people against one of this country’s most sacred buildings, in comments he made to the Associated Press.

In his statement to the AP, Barr said that the behavior we all witnessed from Donald Trump as his very own supporters violently stormed the Capitol building was a “betrayal of his office and supporters.”
He went on to note that “orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable.”
Once again, I want to note that Bill Barr was perhaps the most loyal and devout member of the Trump cabinet to be found. Yet even the likes of Barr could not stand idly and silently by as Trump put the finishing touches on the destruction of this once great nation.
