Bill Barr Goes To Great Lengths To Defend Use Of Force Against Protesters, Tells Face The Nation Host: “Pepper Spray Is Not A Chemical Irritant. It’s Not Chemical”

We wouldn't expect anything less from this guy.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s use of excessive force to disperse protesters, a dictator-esque move that no American will soon forget, United States Attorney General Bill Barr is quickly and predictably jumping to the president’s defense, proving to us all once more that his loyalty clearly lies not with the American people that he took an oath to protect, but with Donald Trump and Donald Trump alone.

Recently, after finding himself utterly humiliated for hiding in his bunker Hitler-style, Donald Trump brought down the force of the United States National Guard on protesters outside the White House in Lafayette Park, complete with chemical warfare in the form of pepper spray or tear gas and rubber bullets shot into the peaceful crowd. All because Bunker Boy was super embarrassed that people called him a bunker boy and he wanted to take a stroll across the street to a church so people wouldn’t think he’s a bunker boy anymore.

To say the least, the whole of this nation is absolutely infuriated at Donald’s blatant, dictator-style power grab.

Everyone but Bill Barr, anyway.

Barr sat down for an interview with Face The Nation where he quickly went on the defense of the total authoritarian move that was concocted by Trump, his administration, and Barr himself.

When asked if he thought Trump’s response to the protesters outside the White House was appropriate, the Attorney General wasted no time in making excuses for the president:

“When they met resistance, yes,” Barr answered. “They announced three times. They didn’t move. By the way, there was no tear gas used,” he declared.

Barr went on to try to “explain” that tear gas was only used on Sunday to clear the way for the fire department to “save St. John’s church.”

“They were chemical irritants,” the interviewer started to say but was quickly cut off by the AG who spouted perhaps his biggest line of bullshit to date.

“No, they were not chemical irritants. Pepper spray is not a chemical irritant. It’s not chemical.”

For the record, here’s the Wikipedia page that covers everything you could ever want to know about pepper spray. Here’s information from Poison Control that clearly and expressly refers to pepper spray as a, you guessed it, chemical.

And here’s your sign that Bill Barr is nothing more than a lying, conniving, Trump sycophant.
