Bill Barr Just Reminded Us All Why He’s Irredeemable, Admitted He Would Still Vote For Trump In 2024, Despite The Ex-President’s “Erratic Personal Behavior” And The Role He Played In Jan. 6th Attack

These people do not change.

Over the years, there have been many theories as to why former Attorney General Bill Barr has been so staunchly loyal to now ex-President Donald Trump. There’s truly no way of shaking out exactly what is true and what is not. However, at the end of the day, the “why” doesn’t really matter, does it? There is no excuse in existence that would atone for what Bill Barr has not only done but continues to do.

Recently, the former Trump-era AG has found himself on the receiving end of an influx of backlash after he penned a book that’s set to be released soon, essentially bashing his former boss that he spent just short of four years trying to turn the US Department of Justice inside out for. As you’d expect, people could smell the desperate image and reputation rehab from a mile away. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to determine that Barr has never really had a “change of heart,” but rather, he has always made moves and decisions based upon what he believed would serve him best from one moment to the next.

Barr himself has now made that crystal clear.

In all the Trump-bashing he’s done recently, that we sure to see filling the pages of his new tell-all, and even counting in his dramatic resignation from the DOJ over the January 6th Capitol attack, Barr himself has very publicly reminded us why you can pretty much never trust a change of heart from a Trump Republican. They are irredeemable, by default.

Today, the former Attorney General made an appearance on MSNBC with Savannah Guthrie where he discussed the many revelations that a set to surely make waves in his upcoming memoir, One Damn Thing After Another.

“I was pretty content with the administration until the election,” the former head of the Justice Department claimed, “But after the election, he went off the rails.”

“He wouldn’t listen to anybody except a little coterie of sycophants who were telling him what he wanted to hear,” Barr went on to reveal. “I think he did a lot of damage after the election, both with this idea that the election was stolen, and also by him rallying this group to Capitol Hill where the clear purpose was to intimidate the vice president and Congress.”

In his upcoming tell-all, the former Attorney General writes of pushing back against Donald Trump’s unhinged 2020 election Big Lie, and how much ire and anger it earned him from the now-former president. Barr admits that he gravely underestimated the lengths to which Donald Trump would go, in an effort to cling tight to his power within the presidency.

At this point, Guthrie questioned whether Barr agreed with Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who has publicly declared on multiple occasions that Donald Trump should never be President of the United States again.

“I certainly have made it clear I don’t think he should be our nominee, and I’m gonna support somebody else,” Bill beat around the bush in response.

“But if he is the nominee and your choice is Trump or whoever’s running on the Democratic side, would you vote for him?” the MSNBC host pushed.

And then it came. The staunch reminder that these Trump Republicans cannot be saved. They cannot be redeemed.

“Because I believe the greatest threat to the country is the progressive agenda being pushed by the Democratic Party, it’s inconceivable to me that I wouldn’t vote for the Republican nominee,” Barr admitted.

“So even if he lied about the election and threatened democracy…Better than a Democrat?” Guthrie pressed further.

“As of now, it’s hard for me to conceive that I wouldn’t vote for the Republican nominee,” Barr doubled down.

Just last week, the Washington Post reported that in his book, the former Trump-era Attorney General said he fully believes Donald Trump could have won the 2020 presidential election if he had “just exercised a modicum of self-restraint, moderating even a little of his pettiness.” Barr also used his memoir to call on the Republican party to move on from Donald Trump and his “erratic personal behavior” when it comes to the 2024 election.

During his recent interview with MSNBC’s Lester Holt, Barr infamously blamed ex-president Donald Trump for the violent January 6th insurrection at the Capitol, where Congress was working to certify Joe Biden’s electoral college win.

But nevertheless, Bill Barr would still vote for him.

There is no excusing that.
