Chris Christie Reveals Trump Won’t Talk To Him Anymore After He Called Ex-President Out On His Big Lie

Is he honestly surprised?

Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie seemed to have a rather sudden, somewhat drastic change of heart here recently when he began to speak out against disgraced former President Donald Trump, uncoincidentally around the same time, he was beginning to peddle his upcoming new book. But none of Christie’s newfound criticism of Trump negates the fact that they were very close friends for quite some time. And the former GOP governor has just revealed that his former pal is now refusing to speak to him.

Christie’s revelation came during what I can only describe as a seriously wishy-washy interview with SiriusXM’s Julie Mason — in which he revealed that he doesn’t have a problem with Trump, he doesn’t regret his 2020 vote for him, he wouldn’t rule out a 2024 vote for him, it was Trump’s decision to no longer speak, but yet the ex-president’s election night speech made him “sick.”

Seems as though someone can’t make up their mind.

“I’m a prosecutor at heart, Julie, and if you’re going to bring an indictment, you’ve got to have the facts,” Christie said during the interview. “And he stood there in front of the American people and said the election was stolen. We won and they stole it. But then presented no evidence for that. And my argument all along has been where’s the beef? Where’s the evidence of election fraud? And there just isn’t any, not any that would be significant at all in changing any one state, let alone multiple states that he would need to do it.”

The former GOP governor and Trump ally turned critic claimed once again (a claim he’s made on separate occasions in the recent past) that he tried multiple times to call then-President Trump on January 6th, but it was to no avail. Christie claims that, as far as he was concerned, “I knew that Donald Trump could stop it.”

Later in the interview, host Julie Mason asked Christie if he still had a relationship with Trump.

“I have no trouble with the president,” Christie responded.

“As a friend, I have my disagreements with him politically and what he did and I’ve expressed those, but I’ve always expressed those to him, both publicly and privately,” Christie explained. “And we’ve gotten back to a place where we were counting on each other and giving each other advice. If we get back to that place, that’s fine by me, but if we don’t, that’s his choice, not mine. I’m not the one who’s not communicating with him. He’s chosen not to communicate with me at this moment.”
