Clip Of Trump’s 60 Minutes Interview With Lesley Stahl Is Released And It Seemingly Shows The President Saying He’s Not Okay With Tough Questions

You gotta be kidding me.

As I’m sure you’ve seen by now, (it’s literally impossible to miss at this point) Donald Trump’s latest drama surrounds his recent interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl. Or should I say half-interviews — because the guy apparently got his knickers in a twist and stormed out of the thing approximately 45 minutes into the 60 minutes interview.

CNN White House correspondent Katie Collins broke the news on her Twitter account, revealing that Trump “abruptly” left the interview before it was over and didn’t even return to film his scheduled walk and talk with Vice President Mike Pence. He was seen looking rather sullen and pouty just an hour or so later when he departed the White House for his MAGA rally of the evening — pitifully waving at a few supporters with a seriously sour expression on his face.

When the news broke, we were unsure as to what actually triggered the President and caused him to make a scene and cut the interview short. All we knew is that it was almost undoubtedly something petty and ridiculous because that’s just how Trump rolls.

Donald himself took to his Twitter account pretty quickly as the news began to circulate to whine about some vague mistreatment and threaten to release the footage of the interview before airtime as some sort of proof that Stahl treated him badly and caused him to leave the interview.

Clips have begun to leak today of bits and pieces of the interview and Trump himself posted the full video of the interview, including their interactions right before it got started in an attempt to prove that he was a victim of “bias, hatred, and rudeness on behalf of 60 Minutes and CBS.” — both to Twitter and his Facebook accounts.

However, much like anything else Donald Trump does, it turned out to just be a massive self-own.

The transcript of the opening interaction goes as follows:

Stahl: “Are you ready for some tough questions?”

Trump: “You’re gonna be fair… Just be fair.”

Stahl: “I’m gonna be fair, but last time I remember you saying to me, ‘Bring it on. Bring it on.'”

Trump: “No. I’m not looking for that. No. I’m looking for fairness. That’s all.”

Stahl: “You’re gonna get fairness. But you’re okay with some tough questions?”

Trump: “No. I’m not.”

Stahl (laughing): “You’re not okay with tough questions?”

Trump: “I’m gonna be fair. You don’t ask Biden tough questions… It’s terrible. It’s terrible. You know that.”

Unsurprisingly, Trump feels that this is rock-solid proof that he was treated unfairly by Stahl from the very get-go. However, it’s actually just proof that he’s a whiney baby who’s only interested in people pacifying him and lopping softball questions for a solid hour — something we’ve already known for a long time.
