CNN’s Jake Tapper Reports That As Of Now, At Least 140 Republican House Members Might Vote Against Electoral College Results Showing Biden Won

This is insanity.

Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are going down a very dark and dangerous path to claim that the election was stolen. The Department of Justice has rejected that wild-eyed claim, Republican state election officials, multiple Trump-appointed judges, recounting and auditing efforts in several states and counties — and Senate majority Leader Mitch McConnell has recognized Joe Biden’s landslide victory. Still, they’re standing by the president for some reason even though courts have thrown out numerous claims because there was no evidence to back up their allegations, and even the conservative-leaning Supreme Court wasn’t having it.

CNN’s Jake Tapper tweeted that as many as one hundred and forty Republican Congress members plan to object to and vote against the Electoral College results showing President-elect Biden won.

This is just insanity and shows how radical Republicans have become. They like to use the word ‘radical’ with Democrats, but it’s the Republicans that are tearing at the fabric of our democracy while literally trying to steal a legitimate election.

Earlier this month, Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., sent a letter urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to consider blocking more than one hundred Republican lawmakers from taking office because they supported Trump’s lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results. We think she should extend that to the 140 GOPers that are trying to help the president with his attempted coup.

When Hillary Clinton lost, the former Secretary of State conceded the next day even though Trump is on record asking Russia to “find” her emails. Clinton didn’t kick and scream — she bowed out gracefully, yet Republicans called her a sore loser. And now, we have a president who is the sorest loser in history, and Republicans are joining him in his massive hissy fit without regard for our country’s well-being. There’s a word for this: seditious. We’ve never gone through a time like this, but it’s so 2020. Republicans aren’t committing sedition covertly. They’re doing it out in the open.
