CNN’s Jim Acosta Publicly Rips Into Don Jr. After He Seemingly Whines About The Lack Of Riots In The US: “Hasn’t The Trump Family Had Enough Riots?”

This is just unreal.

Ex-President Trump’s eldest son and namesake, Don Jr., effectively got his ass handed to him by CNN’s Jim Acosta during a recent segment, after Acosta caught wind of Jr.’s unhinged Fox News rant, in which the former president’s son appeared extremely upset that Americans aren’t rioting against COVID-19 vaccine mandates like he claims people are doing in Europe.

During his Fox News rant, Don claimed that “they” (referring to the media in the United States) don’t want American citizens to hear or see anything on the alleged vaccine mandate riots that are supposedly taking place in other nations around the world, because they fear it will give people ideas and lead to similar uprisings in the States. What makes Don Jr.’s ridiculous claims and calls to action even richer is the fact that it ignores all of the protests and uprisings that have happened and continue to happen among the Right-wingers in the US — ranging from school walk-outs over mask mandates, to protests over getting a haircut, to the infamous January 6th Capitol riot over his father’s 2020 election loss.

And Acosta wasn’t here for it.

“I’m trying to figure this out,” the CNN host said after playing a clip of Jr.’s manic Fox News diatribe. “Don Jr. is upset that there aren’t riots here in the United States over COVID vaccines? Hasn’t the Trump family had enough riots at this point?”

“Uh, apparently not, not for their taste,” CNN analyst John Avlon responded. “peaking of Alex Jones’ level energy, Donald Trump Jr. seems certainly amped up about his latest conspiracy theory. And the invoking of sheeple is when you know it’s all gone really, really well. This has nothing to do with freedom. This conflation with public health with propaganda is a source of a lot of the sickness in our country, not just the persistence of the virus but the disinformation that gets fueled by people like Donald Trump Jr., who should probably find a real job at this point.”

Avalon and Acosta, along with PBS’s Margaret Hoover, went on to discuss the GOP’s latest beef with Vice President Kamala Harris’ purchase of some Parisian cookware. Avalon ultimately just laughed, noting that the Right is raging over 500 bucks worth of pots and pans while simultaneously throwing their unwavering, blind support behind a man who lives in the tallest tower of an apartment building, a la Austin Powers villain style.
