One New York House Rep. hopeful has made some serious waves after he chose to announce his congressional candidacy in a rather… Risqué way.
According to new reports this evening, New York longshot congressional candidate Mike Itkis, who describes himself as “very Liberal” and is running on the Independent ticket in hopes of unseating NY House Rep. Jerry Nadler in next month’s New York 12th Congressional District election, has released a sex tape in connection to his campaign announcement, in the hopes that he can “demonstrate [his] commitment” to his “sex-positive approach.”
Itkis, a cyber security expert, recently publicly posted a video clip of himself having sex with adult film star Nicole Sage, which was posted to a popular pornography site earlier this year.
The Hill reports that Itkis gave a statement to ITK this morning, calling the sexual encounter with Sage “one of the most meaningful experiences” of his lifetime.

“Creating the video significantly influenced my political platform, leading me to create the principles of sex work legalization, to speak about the complexities of consent, and the pros and cons of privacy considerations,” the New York congressional candidate went on to add.
He further told the publication that he was hopeful that the sex tape, which was actually first posted to PornHub back in June, could serve as a “starting point for conversations about the equal value of married people and those who are not, the expansion on sexual rights beyond abortion, and finally, the need to provide all citizens the tools necessary to protect themselves online.”
Speaking with New York’s City & State on the matter, who first reported the news of the NSFW footage from his campaign, Itkis said, “If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue.”
The congressional candidate went on to add that one of his 3 primary goals is to “advance sex positivity, including several proposals for legislation designed to explicitly protect sexual rights by ending government involvement in marriage, the right to not become a parent in case of pregnancy, a right for women to terminate an abortion, decriminalization of sex between consenting adults, a nation-wide definition of consent, and legalization of sex work.”
The candidate’s campaign website describes him as “not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist.”
Itkis also added that despite his cameo in a literal sex tape, he is “not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist.”
“I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it,” he said. “But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important. I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way.”
I suppose that’s one way to do it…
