Hailing all the way back to his days as a real estate “mogul” and a reality TV “star,” former President Donald Trump has been at the center of many a sexual assault and rape allegation. Frankly, people knew it in the 80s and they know it now — the man is scum.

Unsurprisingly, many of these allegations made their way back into the spotlight after Donald Trump himself made his way into the spotlight of the presidency. The fact of the matter was, Donald’s numerous victims did not want to see such a heinous individual gain power over an entire nation. But nevertheless, Trump was successful in securing the presidency, and throughout his four-year term was able to dodge any ramifications of his multiple crimes and sins.

However, Donald Trump is not the president anymore. And it seems the courts are letting him know it.

According to a report from Reuters, New York’s highest court recently made a simple, one-sentence ruling that will undoubtedly remind the ex-president that he is now nothing more than an average American citizen who can and will be held accountable for the things he has done.

The court ruling informed Donald Trump that he can now be questioned by attorneys, potentially under oath, in connection to a defamation lawsuit filed by a woman who has accused the former real-estate “mogul” and reality TV “star” of sexual assault.

The report notes that Summer Zervos, a former contestant on Donald’s old reality TV show, The Apprentice, may proceed with her defamation lawsuit against the ex-president after the Court of Appeals thew out Trump’s attempts to save himself from a court appearance, citing his position as president at the time the lawsuit was filed.

The report reads:

Lawyers for the woman, Summer Zervos, had asked the high court to nix the appeal and return her defamation suit to a trial court for both sides to continue pretrial evidence-seeking that could eventually enable Zervos’ lawyers to quiz Trump under oath, and his to question her. Deadlines for such questioning, known as a deposition, had been set for last year before Trump appealed to the high court.”

Zervos’ attorneys, Beth Wilkinson and Moira Penza, stated, “Now a private citizen, the defendant has no further excuse to delay justice for Ms. Zervos, and we are eager to get back to the trial court and prove her claims.”

There is nothing left to protect Donald Trump. As a private citizen, he is now just as accountable as you or I would be. And I don’t know about you, but I hope they throw the book at him.
