CrossFit CEO Was Caught On A Zoom Call Telling His Staff “We’re Not Mourning For George Floyd”

And his career is over.

You have to be a pretty awful person to make people hate CrossFit — a global fitness company — more, but CEO and founder Greg Glassman accomplished that. According to a recording obtained by BuzzFeed News, Glassman told gym owners on a private Zoom call, “We’re not mourning for George Floyd — I don’t think me or any of my staff are.” And just like that, the conservative narrative of “all lives matter” is once against casually tossed out the window during racial tensions in the United States. All lives don’t matter until Black lives matter. It’s just that simple.

“Can you tell me why I should mourn for him? Other than that it’s the white thing to do — other than that, give me another reason,” he asked a Minneapolis gym owner who asked why CrossFit hadn’t posted a statement about the massive protests that have taken place across the country after the murder of George Floyd by police officers.

He seriously said “the white thing to do.” What in the actual fuck does that mean?

According to NPR, Glassman resigned after the backlash with gyms, athletes, Reebok, and other athletic companies distancing themselves from the CrossFit brand. It’s almost as if the trash took itself out.

“I’m stepping down as CEO of CrossFit, Inc., and I have decided to retire,” Glassman said in a statement. “On Saturday I created a rift in the CrossFit community and unintentionally hurt many of its members.”

Oh, so I wonder if this is why he resigned:

The CEO also repeated an unfounded conspiracy theory that Floyd was murdered to cover up a money-laundering scheme involving counterfeit bills, using the fact that the officer involved in his death, Derek Chauvin, worked at the same nightclub as Floyd last year to back his claim.”

And Glassman referred to racism as “Floyd-19.” on Twitter.

Glassman’s “FLOYD-19” tweet was in response to an Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation tweet that said “racism and discrimination are critical health issues.”

The CEO then later added another post that read: “Your failed model quarantined us and now you’re going to model a solution to racism? George Floyd’s brutal murder sparked riots nationally. Quarantine alone is ‘accompanied in every age and under all political regimes by an undercurrent of suspicion, distrust, and riots.’ Thanks!’”

Glassman apologized for his “FLOYD-19” tweet, but it remains active. That was just the tip of the iceberg as Glassman has also spun baseless conspiracy theories not only about Floyd’s death but of the coronavirus, too.

If an individual is trying to make it OK that an unarmed black man was suffocated to death while calling out to his mother who has been dead for two years, then that person is a fucking piece of rancid shit. We’re looking at you, Mr. Glassman. We’re also looking at you. Mr. President. Both of you can eat a bag of dicks. You’re welcome. That’s the “white” thing to do, dude.
