Delusional Newsmax Host Randomly Questions Whether Vice President Harris Has A “Drug Or Alcohol Problem”

WTH?

Vice President Kamala Harris has recently been the target of hit pieces from media figures. The latest example is from Newsmax, where host Greg Kelly baselessly suggested that Harris “might have” an alcohol or drug abuse problem. According to Mediaite, he claimed that “high-level sources” have told him this. There is no evidence that Harris abuses alcohol or drugs, and Kelly has never reported on Donald Trump Jr.’s obvious drug problem. And he never reported on former President Donald Trump appearing to be high at times.

Kelly asked guest Seamus Bruner of the Steve Bannon-founded Government Accountability Institute, “Does she have a drug or alcohol problem?” Bruner responded by saying, “Well, she has an authenticity problem, that is for sure.”

“Well, I don’t mean to make light because substance abuse is a real thing,” Kelly said. “And if she does have a problem — and I have heard through high-level sources that she might have a problem — and if she does, I hope she gets help.”

According to Media Matters, in early November, Kelly threw out that claim.

“She needs help; she needs help. I’m not kidding,” Kelly said at the time. “Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, somebody close to her has to help her. She obviously has — I think she has a drug or alcohol problem. I think, I think. And I’m actually hearing some things. You tell me. Is this normal behavior here?”

“I don’t know; something’s up. Remember the plane in fantasy island?” he continued. “There’s something very strange about this person. If she is suffering from addiction, I hope, genuinely, she gets help.”

“Look, I’m making light of it, and I’m not making light of it at the same time,” he added. “If she’s just being goofy, that’s fine. But I think she might have a problem.”

Newsmax just isn’t a serious news outlet.
