Delusional Trump Tells Fox Business The Virus Was “Virtually Gone” When He Left Office

What dream is he living in?!

Following his trainwreck of an interview with Sean Hannity late last night, disgraced former President Donald Trump headed back to Fox News for round two this morning for an appearance with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo. And, as you’d expect, it was pretty much just as disastrous as the last one.

While Trump spent last night ranting, raving, and almost seemingly praising the Taliban, he shifted gears this morning to a tirade about the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delta variant of the virus, and the need for booster vaccines. Going so far as to actually have the absolute gall to claim that the coronavirus was “virtually gone” when he left office back in January.

During the interview, the ex-president claimed that he was “proud” to have taken the COVID vaccine.

“When I was president, you didn’t have this problem with people not wanting to take it,” he stated, which, by the way, is absolutely factually incorrect. “They don’t take it because they don’t trust Biden and they don’t trust the Biden administration. When I was president, you didn’t have people protesting the vaccine.”

“He’s now president and he’s doing a lousy job with coronavirus,” Trump, who experienced the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans to the virus on his watch said. “Coronavirus is back. If that ever happened to me where it came back, ok, when I left it was virtually gone. It was over. Now it’s coming back through the delta [variant] and I don’t know if you even want to call it that. All you call it is the China virus.”

Of course, Trump is once again being a big, fat liar here, as the CDC reported that cases of the deadly COVID-19 virus were actually peaking in the United States as Donald departed the White House.

To make matters that much worse, Trump went on to rail against booster vaccines for the virus.

“That sounds to me like a money-making operation from Pfizer,” Trump stated. “Think of the money involved. A booster shot, that’s tens of billions of dollars. How good of business is that? If you’re a businessman, you say, ‘You know what? Let’s give them another shot.'”

“You wouldn’t think you would need a booster,” he went on to add as if he has any authority on the subject. “When these first came out, they were good for life. Then they were good for a year or two. And I could see the writing on the wall, you could see the dollar signs in their eyes.”
