Devin Nunes Claims The Democratic Party “Seems To Be Against White People” Because They Are “Always Talking About Racism”

This smacks of desperation.

In the race to make the stupidest and most obviously false statement on the Sunday media circuit, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) openly accused Democrats of being “against white people” just because they talk about racism.

Seriously.

During a Fox News interview, Nunes began by whining about Democrats for supporting the choice of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as the Special Counsel overseeing the Russia investigation.

“I think the question is, does Mueller know where Mueller is?” Nunes said. “This was somebody who was put up as an avatar to give credibility to this investigation that was phony from the beginning. I’m not sure he knows what the hell is going on.”

In reality, the former prosecutor knew what was going on just fine. After all, he detailed several instances of the Trump campaign having had contact with Russians during the 2016 campaign, confirmed that Russia did interfere with the election, and busted Donald Trump for committing obstruction of justice on multiple occasions. Mueller and his crack team also rightfully busted Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and other Trump associates for their crimes.

Nunes then shifted to complain about Democrats for talking about racism, which he claimed means Democrats are racist against white people.

“Look, the Democratic Party, it’s very odd for a party that seems to be against white people and always talking about racism, they sure like to prop up these avatar old white dudes,” he said. “They have one running for president right now who’s hiding in his basement.”

Here’s the video:

Funny, I don’t recall Republicans ever selecting a black man or a woman as their nominee for president. Democrats successfully ran Barack Obama twice in 2008 and 2012 and nominated Hillary Clinton in 2016. Democrats also have more women and people of color within their ranks. Biden is the nominee because the voters decided he would be the strongest challenger against Trump. And so far, the polls are proving them right.

Once again, Nunes falls flat on his face and demonstrates that he should no longer be a member of Congress.
