Donald Trump Jr. downplayed the coronavirus pandemic Thursday night on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” when he insisted to host Laura Ingraham that the number of new COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is down to “almost nothing.” And he said that as this country’s daily average of new coronavirus cases reached an all-time high: over 88,000 daily infections. According to Axios, the US’s confirmed 1,049 additional deaths due to the virus, and there are over 46,000 people currently being hospitalized. This suggests a third wave as we head into the winter months.
So, they rolled a clip of neurosurgeon Sanjay Gupta urging MAGA people who have recently attended a Trump rally to assume they’ve been exposed to the COVID-19 and quarantine for 14 days. That prompted Junior to chuckle while calling Gupta and others “morons.”
“Yeah, these people are truly morons, you know what I mean? I like how they go after Scott Atlas because he’s not an epidemiologist, but Sanjay Gupta now magically is,” Junior told Ingraham. “I mean, give me a break, Laura, the reality is this — if you look, I put it up on my Instagram a couple of days ago, because I went through the CDC data because I kept hearing about new infections — but I was like, well, why aren’t they talking about this? Oh, oh, because the number is almost nothing because we’ve gotten control of this thing.”
“We understand how it works,” Junior insisted. “They have the therapeutics to be able to deal with this. If you look at that, look at my Instagram, it’s gone to almost nothing. We’re outperforming Europe in a positive way, so well, because we’ve gotten a hold of this.”

Junior said, “Look at my Instagram,” as if we would find facts on COVID-19 there from the anti-masker super-spreader. And no, the Trump administration doesn’t have “a hold of this.” If this administration did, they’d be wearing fucking masks instead of mocking them while holding super-spreader rallies. It’s mentally exhausting having to watch the Trumps downplay the virus that has taken nearly two hundred and thirty thousand American lives. But, do go off, Junior, while looking high as fuck.
