Don Jr. Talks Indictments On Fox News, Seems To Have Missed The Memo About Weisselberg’s Not Guilty Plea

Uhm... Dude...

As I’m sure you’re well aware, the proverbial poo hit the fan for the ex-president’s family business, the Trump Organization, earlier this week when not only the company was slapped with indictments for tax fraud, but the company’s Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg was as well.

This week, Weisselberg turned himself into authorities after he was indicted on 15 different charges in connection to the investigation raging against the Trump Organization. The long-time CFO was “perp walked” into a Manhattan courtroom where he proceeded to plead not guilty to all 15 of the charges lodged against him.

And yet the people he has dedicated his life to and refuses to turn on don’t seem to have gotten the “not guilty” memo.

To kick things off, Donald himself held a rally this evening, during which he made what one reporter thought was an “admission” of guilt to tax crimes and coincidentally seemed to rattle off almost the same exact things his CFO was charged with.

But that wasn’t even where this fiasco ended this evening.

As his father was making an ass out of himself at his Sarasota, Florida, rally tonight, Don Jr. was making an appearance on Dan Bongino’s Fox News segment, Unfiltered, during which he made it pretty damn clear that he either didn’t get the memo about the way Weisselberg pleaded, or he just didn’t care. Because the guy essentially admitted that Allen pretty much did exactly what he was charged with, but Junior just doesn’t think it’s that big a deal.

“So they spent millions of dollars, they reviewed three million documents, a countless number of grand jury hours, countless number of witnesses, and they got a guy because he got a corporate car and didn’t declare it on his tax return,” Junior admitted on the segment. “Fringe benefits. It’s never been prosecuted in the history of the IRS.”

It seems pretty clear, to me anyway, that Junior knows damn good well exactly what the Trump Organization CFO was up to. He just wants to make you believe that it’s not a big deal.

It is, though, Don. It really… Really is.
