Donald Trump Called His Press Secretary “Weak” And “Worthless” Because She Wouldn’t Throw CNN’s Kaitlan Collins Out Of Briefing Room, According To A New Book

Donald Trump’s attitude before, during, and after his presidency certainly hasn’t been any sort of well-kept secret or anything. We all know good and well how cruel, hateful, and heartless the man can be when he gets even slightly miffed over the smallest of inconveniences or slights against him.

However, every once in a while, a new report comes out that still manages to take us aback, even with all we know about America’s biggest embarrassment. And this is one of them.

ABC News chief White House correspondent Jon Karl has published a new book, titled Front Row at the Trump Show, and as is customary with these tell-all opus’s of the Trump administration, it’s chock full of its own set of new, bombshell revelations to remind us just how sickening and atrocious that man and many of his people truly are.

POLTICO’s Playbook was the first to report on an anecdote from Karl’s book, telling of the time that Donald Trump allegedly degraded and attacked his then-Press Secretary, Stephanie Grisham, because she wouldn’t remove CNN’s Kaitlan Collins from the briefing room.

Evidently, Trump, who was still president at the time, found himself displeased with some aggressive questioning from the CNN report and demanded that Grisham, his former White House Communications Director turned Press Secretary, have her removed from the briefing room immediately.

Grisham reportedly tried to explain that she couldn’t do that because the White House Press Corps has its own authority but was quickly met with Trump yelling back, “That’s because you are weak! You are worthless!”

The POLITICO report reads:

Another anecdote about former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham is surprising given her seeming resentment of reporters and the fact that she never once held an on-camera press briefing. According to Karl, Grisham defied Trump’s orders to remove CNN’s Kaitlan Collins from a Covid-19 briefing room where Pence was speaking to reporters. ‘Go down there and get her out of there,’ Trump told Grisham, finding her in her office. ‘Mr. President, I really cannot do that,’ Grisham told Trump to his face mid-briefing, to which the president responded: ‘That’s because you are weak! You are worthless!'”

Collins ended up tweeting out a screenshot of the passage in question, adding, “Thanks for the memories, @jonkarl,” with a link to the POLITICO article.

Multiple bombshells were included in Karl’s tell-all book, including the story behind Trump’s decision to divert a Navy hospital ship from Seattle to punish the governor for criticizing him during the pandemic.
