Saw this coming from a mile away.

We knew it was coming…

Scandal-ridden, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump has officially been reinstated on Twitter.

The reinstatement of the former president’s account comes after the new owner, Tesla’s Elon Musk, conducted a poll, lasting about 24 hours, asking the people of Twitter to vote on whether or not to “reinstate former President Trump.”

More than 15 million people voted in the poll, with the favor leaning towards Trump’s reinstatement by less than 4 percent.

Trump himself took to his struggling Truth Social platform, upon learning of Musk’s Twitter poll, and essentially begged/called on all of his followers to go vote in his favor.

Musk made the announcement on his Twitter account this evening, writing, “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” the latter of which translates to “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”

As it stands, the former president has not yet utilized his reinstated account. The last tweet on Trump’s Twitter is from January 8th, 2021, where Donald Trump announced to his followers that he would not be attending President Biden’s inauguration.

Suffice it to say, despite Elon’s poll, the people of Twitter have not taken well to the news:

Trump was permanently banned from the social media platform under Jack’s ownership two days after the deadly Capitol riot, for using his account to further incite violence at the Capitol building by publicly peddling lies and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election that he knew would further spur his mob of violent supporters.

I cannot see this going well.
