Donald Trump Permanently Shuts Down His Blog Website After Only One Month: “Will Not Be Returning”

That didn't last long at all.

There’s no denying that former president Donald Trump has been searching for a way to circumvent his blanket ban on multiple social media sites since pretty much the moment he was ex-communicated from the platforms — with various websites, official statements, calls to have his accounts reinstated, negotiations with other platforms regarding who will pay the most for his participation, and even talks of starting his own social media platform.

But, evidently, a blog just wasn’t it for the disgraced ex-president.

As I’m sure you’re all well aware by now, Trump seemingly tried to get around his social media ban with the equivalent of a personal blog, which could be found on Trump’s website, under the tab “From The Desk Of Donald Trump.” It was less an actual social media platform and more so a public diary for the former “leader” of the free world, given that no one was able to comment or communicate with Trump’s sayings in any way, but you can bet your bottom dollar there was an array of options to share his statements to any social media site you so choose — a trick that platforms quickly caught onto.

Unsurprisingly, Trump used his blog simply to complain. About anything and everything. It was chock full of daily rants about Democrats, Republicans that he deemed traitors, President Biden, and whatever else he could cook up in that Aderrall-fueled brain of his.

But folks, it just didn’t last.

Should you attempt to visit the ex-president’s blog page now, you’ll find that it’s been completely scrubbed from his website and will redirect users to a page where you’re prompted to sign up for his email and text alerts.

Senior Trump aide Jason Miller spoke with CNBC about the blog webpage and said with certainty that it “will not be returning.”

“It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” Miller said.

Trump’s blog came on the heels of his ousting from pretty much every reputable social media platform after his hand in inciting the Capitol riot via his Twitter account. Since then, Donald has made many a vague promise to start up his own social media site, something he and his people insist is different from his little blog page. However, no one seems to know when or even if that’s actually coming down the pike.

Miller said he is “hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon” regarding the ex-president’s own social media platform. “I do not have a precise awareness of timing.”

Trump unveiled his personal blog-like webpage just last month and labeled it as a “communication platform” where he would supposedly be able to interact more closely with his base and the public. However, it ultimately lasted about the same amount of time his average marriage does.

Upon the unveiling of his blog page, many people thought it was the “social media” platform that Trump had long been bragging about, drawing in lots of criticism for its overall pitifulness. However, Trump and people quickly pushed back on that notion, claiming that the blog was not, in fact, the ex-president’s new platform but rather just a way to quickly and effectively pump out his numerous hair-brained musings in the form of “statements.”

At the time of the blog’s release, Miller himself said the “Desk” webpage was “a great resource” to find the former president’s statements.
