Donald Trump Won’t Be Happy As Sen. Lindsey Graham Reportedly Thought Ex-President’s Big Lie Arguments Were Suitable For “Third Grade”

Even Graham knew how ridiculous it was.

The new book from The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, Peril, is set to feature more than a few bombshells on the already tattered, disgraced, and shamed former President Donald Trump. Tons of information that we didn’t know before has already made waves in the media and that’s just from excerpts.

But of everything that has come from Peril thus far, this one might be the best — and very well could be the one that pisses Donald Trump off the most.

South Carolina GOP Senator Lindsey Graham personally had a personal hand in the investigation into disgraced ex-President Donald Trump’s relentless claims that the 2020 presidential election was wrought with fraud, and that’s why he lost to Joe Biden. However, according to the new book, despite his efforts to help Trump, Graham ultimately just found that Donald’s conspiracies and claims were nothing more than unsubstantiated, elementary nonsense.

In a new reportThe Washington Post cited their journalists’ new upcoming book and revealed that after Graham has pressed both the White House and Donald Trump’s legal team for real evidence of the fraud-ridden and “rigged” Trump was claiming, behind closed doors the GOP senator described Donald’s efforts as suitable for the “third grade.”

Speaking with Trump’s then-personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows during a January 2nd meeting, Graham allegedly said, “Give me some names. You need to put it in writing. You need to show me the evidence.”

Rudy and Trump’s legal team proceeded to hand over documents that supposedly raised eyebrows about the vote totals in various states. Graham, who was serving as the Senate Judiciary Committee at the time, forwarded this alleged “proof” to the top legal counsel of the panel, Lee Holmes, according to Woodward and Costa.

“Holmes found the sloppiness, the overbearing tone of certainty, and the inconsistencies disqualifying,” the reporters write. “The memos, he determined, ‘added up to nothing.'”

Just a few days later, pro-Trump insurrectionists would go on to violently storm the nation’s Capitol building. On the heels of the January 6th riot, Senator Graham officially voted to certify the Electoral College votes in favor of Joe Biden, stating that he “tried to be helpful” to Donald Trump but had reached a point where he was ready to recognize Biden as the rightful winner of the 2020 presidential election.

“Trump and I, we had a hell of a journey,” Senator Graham stated from the Senate floor that day. “I hate it being this way. Oh my god, I hate it… but today all I can say is count me out. Enough is enough. I tried to be helpful.”

According to the book, Graham wasn’t the only one who found that Donald’s claims didn’t hold any water, as Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee also oversaw what was described as a “parallel” investigation into Trump’s Big Lie claims only to find himself underwhelmed and unpersuaded, according to the book.
