Donald Trump loves to sow division while creating chaos, instead of uniting the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. One of the most recent examples was Trump’s support for the heavily-armed protesters that stormed Michigan’s Capitol while screaming in the faces of police officers who were wearing face masks. And just like that, “Blue Lives Matter” didn’t seem to matter to Trumpers anymore. The anti-lockdown protesters held Nazi symbols and waved Confederate flags, and MAGA banners — but I repeat myself. The red hats were not practicing social distancing while putting other lives in danger.
Dr. Deborah Birx — an expert in vaccine research and global health who serves as the Coronavirus Response Coordinator — appeared on Fox News Sunday and warned of the consequences of the Trumpers not wearing face masks, and disregarding social distancing practices after host Chris Wallace asked her about the Michigan protest. Dr. Birx called it “devastatingly worrisome.”

Birx explained that the anti-lockdown protestors could return home and transmit COVID-19 to family members who may be more vulnerable because of old age or underlying medical conditions, Axios reports.
“They will feel guilty for the rest of our lives,” Birx told Wallace. “So we need to protect each other at the same time we’re voicing our discontent.”
The death toll in the U.S. for the coronavirus has reached more than sixty-seven thousand, and thirty million Americans have suddenly found themselves out of work in just over a month’s time. With some states wanting to reopen, the potentially deadly disease will continue to spread while the rest of us remain at home in hopes of flattening the coronavirus curve.
It’s almost as if Trump supporters are not concerned with other American’s lives. Still, we’ve seen that disregard for human life before from conservatives who seem to want to offer up senior citizens’ lives to save Wall Street.
