Dr. Fauci Reportedly Called Trump’s Coronavirus Briefings “Really Draining”

They're draining for us too, Doctor.

It’s no secret at this point that Dr. Anothony Fauci and Donald Trump aren’t exactly the best of friends. I mean, after all, one of them has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 and the other is a bloated reality TV star with a dream of being a dictator and a serious affinity for porn stars.

Frankly, they are not the same. Not even in the same universe.

While Dr. Fauci generally does his best to remain calm and mature about the matter, Trump on the other hand just retweets crap on Twitter about firing the guy while he pouts over the fact that he’s not actually a dictator and really can’t fire he guy — at least not without some pretty heavy consequences that God knows he can’t afford right now.

However, it seems that even the good doctor has his limits, and while he’s not going all nuclear 3-year-old on a four-day, no-nap bender as Trump has, it does appear that he’s growing rather frustrated with this whole ordeal — especially those daily Coronavirus Task Force briefings Trump is holding now that are literally nothing more than thinly-veiled MAGA rallies now that he can’t have those anymore.

Recently, Dr. Fauci spoke with the Associated Press and spoke about Trump’s overeagerness to reopen the nation’s economy far before it’s medically safe to do so — and was sure to add a little tidbit about how he feels regarding Trump’s briefings.

“We have to have something in place that is efficient and that we can rely on, and we’re not there yet,” Fauci told AP regarding Trump’s suggestion that the country could be back to business as usual by the first of next month, calling the goal “a bit overly optimistic” and explaining that the efforts would need to take place on a “rolling” basis.

“I’ll guarantee you, once you start pulling back there will be infections. It’s how you deal with the infections that’s going count,” Fauci continued before turning to talk about the Coronavirus Task Force Briefings, ultimately calling them “really draining.”

“If I had been able to just make a few comments and then go to work, that would have really been much better,” the doctor explained. “It isn’t the idea of being there and answering questions, which I really think is important for the American public. It’s the amount of time.”

My take on that? Trump’s long-winded ass needs to shut up and get out of the way so the actual medical professional can answer America’s questions and get back to work on that pandemic that’s killing us by the thousands.
