Eric Trump Makes Sure Everyone Knows He’s Not Gay After Confusing Statement

Lara Trump is probably extremely disappointed.

During an interview on Fox News, Eric Trump was read a letter from possibly the only lesbian woman who supports Trump. Eric was quick to sing the praises of the LGTBQ community saying,
“The LGBT community, they are incredible and you should see how they’ve come out in full force for my father every single day. I’m part of that community and we love the man and thank you for protecting our neighborhoods and protecting our cities.”

Perhaps a little over-eager, Eric claimed that he was part of the LGTBQ community himself and it seemed very much like he was coming out. Of course, that is not what he was trying to do at all, it was just his blind attempt at trying to garner support for his father’s campaign. We’ve seen the President’s desperation for support for various groups recently, such as vying for the Puerto Rican or black vote, offering them empty promises out of the blue and this is no different.

Unsurprisingly, “smartest” boy Eric Trump couldn’t let that small slip up be the end of it. It seems he had to affirm that he is not, in fact, gay or even bisexual citing his marriage as proof.

“To clarify, many of our close friends are part of the LGBT community, which was the intent of my statement — the left has taken that vote for granted for a long time and support from the gay community for my father is incredible,” Eric said.

So, as quickly as Eric accidentally leaped out of the closet he has now backtracked, squashing the dreams of gay men everywhere, I’m sure.
