Eric Trump Used His Father’s Impeachment Hearing To Promote Trump Branded Wine On Social Media

Grifters gonna grift.

Unsurprisingly, the public impeachment hearings that were ironically enough demanded by members of their own party have got the Trump family more than a little on edge. And rightly so, honestly. They’re watching, in real-time, as not only the House Intelligence Committee but Americans all across the nation as well learn that Daddy Donald did just precisely what he was accused of.

Long story short, it ain’t turning out well for the Trump clan — even with their own witnesses like EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland.

In fact, things just keep getting increasingly worse for the bunch.

Even some of the staunchest of loyal Trump sycophants are quickly running out of ways to defend their beloved “leader.” Each and every testimony gets more and more damning for Donald and several other members of his cabinet — leaving his base of minions to desperately scramble in search of a technicality or a loophole to somehow get POTUS out of the hole he’s effectively dug for himself.

Or, if you’re Trump spawn Eric Trump, it just leaves you with a really great opportunity to do some grifting.

As Ambassador Sondland’s testimony was in full swing today, it seems that even Eric was out of a good way to defend his dear ol’ dad. So he decided to do some Trump business advertising instead. Because, evidently, emoluments are only a bad thing when it’s the Obamas… Three whole years after they’re out of the White House.

With evidently nothing wittier or more substantial in his repertoire, Eric chose to respond to today’s witness testimony with an advertisement for Trump Wineries, captioning a photo of a Trump wine bottle with “It is a perfect day for a nice bottle of this. These people are — insane…. @TrumpWinery.”

I mean… In his defense, what else can you say when daddy’s clearly going down?

Nevertheless, though, social media had quite the response to Eric’s griftiness in the midst of his father’s public demise:

Ahhh, Twitter, where would we be without you?
