According to a new report from CNN, news of the FBI raid against Donald Trump’s personal attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has positively rocked members of the ex-president’s inner circle as they panic over if or when they’ll be next.

On Thursday, news broke of a search warrant executed by federal investigators at the Manhattan home and office of Rudy Giuliani. In connection to the warrant, officials reportedly seized the attorney’s electronics and cell phones in connection to Rudy’s allegedly corrupt dealings in Ukraine. Many within this circle of people involved with the ex-president and his personal attorney have found themselves vexed over the FBI search and seizure, with one Trump official labeling the raid as “overkill” and Rudy’s son screeching about Hunter Biden from the sidewalk. Tensions are even higher and anger even more palpable as insiders come to the realization that Attorney General Merrick Garland is allowing U.S. attorneys under him to pursue former government officials for their wrongdoings, according to the CNN report.

However, it seems as though many of those within the circle are privately panicking over whether or not they’ll soon find themselves in a similar position as the old NYC mayor.

One anonymous former Trump advisor told CNN, “This was a show of force that sent a strong message to a lot of people in Trump’s world that other things may be coming down the pipeline.”

CNN’s Gabby Orr reports, “According to the Trump adviser, the raid ignited a sense of fear inside the former President’s orbit that Justice Department officials may be more willing to pursue investigations of the 45th president or his inner circle than many Trump allies had previously believed. Two other people close to the former President, who echoed these sentiments, declined to be quoted for this story.”

But as it turns out, insiders reportedly aren’t just worried that officials will be coming for them next, the report claims they’re highly concerned that Giuliani will ultimately flip in an effort to secure a plea deal for himself, implicating the former president as well as many of his officials in the end.

One Trump insider said, “Even the most loyal people have their breaking point,” before going on to add that it “wouldn’t shock me at all” if Rudy ultimately turned on the former president.

Another source added, “I think we’ve seen some more surprising instances of things like that happening, especially with Michael Cohen.”

Cohen himself has spoken out on this matter multiple times now since the news broke just a few days ago, predicting as recently as this morning that former Attorney General Bill Barr and Trump son Don Jr. would soon be implicated in the mess as he expects a “treasure trove” of information about them and others to be found on Rudy’s confiscated devices.
