President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani is now in the cross hairs of the Southern District of New York’s investigation against his associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, which could lead to federal charges being filed.

Giuliani began working with Fruman and Parnas as early as 2018, even cutting the duo’s Fraud Guarantee company a check for $500,000 for their services. Fruman and Parnas would then help Giuliani connect with former disgraced Ukrainian officials so he could seek dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden. Giuliani was also present at a meeting with Trump in which Parnas advised getting rid of Ambassador Marie Yovanovich, who posed the “biggest problem” standing in the way of his Ukraine extortion scheme.

Giuliani would also send Fruman and Parnas to Ukraine to look for dirt on Trump’s political rivals.

In October, federal prosecutors indicted Parnas and Fruman for violating campaign finance laws for attempting to influence U.S.-Ukraine policy by directing money from a foreign government to American lawmakers.

The question now, however, is just how involved was Giuliani?

According to a CNN report, federal prosecutors appear to be closing in on Giuliani by filing new charges against Parnas.

Prosecutors with the US attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York are considering whether to charge Giuliani associate Lev Parnas and at least one of his business partners with misleading potential investors for Fraud Guarantee, the Florida-based company that paid Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, these people say. Parnas co-founded Fraud Guarantee with the idea of providing insurance to companies to protect against fraud.

The scrutiny of Fraud Guarantee brings the investigation closer to Giuliani, Trump’s vocal defender, and raises questions about what role the former mayor played, if any, in the marketing of the company. A lawyer for Giuliani said his client never had any conversations about investor pitches or marketing with Parnas or his business partner David Correia.”

Parnas, however, could refute Giuliani’s attorney and put Giuliani right in the middle of the illegal activities.

But as the feds close in on Giuliani, one has to wonder if Trump will interfere in this case to help his personal attorney much like he is interfering with the Justice Department to help his close associate Roger Stone right now. After all, if anybody has information about Trump to trade for a deal, it’s Giuliani.
