On Monday, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden unveiled the White House’s 2021 Christmas decorations, highlighting first responders and frontline workers with the theme “gifts from the heart.” Comparisons to former First Lady Melania Trump’s holiday decorations poured in on Twitter, and we all know how she really felt about Christmas. Melania was caught on tape saying, “I’m working … my ass off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a f— about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?” Well, Dr. Biden doesn’t mind working her ass off.
“As we celebrate our first holiday season in the White House, we are inspired by the Americans we have met across the country, time and again reminding us that our differences are precious and our similarities infinite,” the first lady and the president said in a joint statement. “We wish you a happy, healthy, and joyous holiday season. As we look to a new year full of possibility, may gifts from the heart light our path forward.”
The decorations are beautiful.
The Christmas trees in the State Dining Room are huge and covered with framed photos of the Biden’s and former first families at the White House during holidays. @FLOTUS pulled many from her personal albums, never before seen publicly pic.twitter.com/4InOpsuSFn

Yes, I know you looked for it, too. The Bidens aren’t spiteful, and the First Lady is a bigger person than I am.
And yes I looked. Tucked into the back side of one of the trees, there is one of Donald and Melania Trump. pic.twitter.com/2zmO66qOfu

Inspired by the acts of kindness and experiences that lifted our spirits this year, decorated rooms in the White House reflect the Gifts from the Heart that unite us all: faith, family, friendship, the arts, learning, nature, gratitude, service, community, peace, and unity. pic.twitter.com/fsaYFthIqH

I prefer your “Kindness” theme to last year’s “Who Gives A Fook About Crease-mess Stuff?” theme. pic.twitter.com/PBFUl10S1C

We’ve got a proper @FLOTUS in the house and I’m here for it. Such beautiful decorations, it feels like Christmas already.

This looks like decorations chosen with love. I, for one, do not miss the handmaiden-murder trees. <3 pic.twitter.com/wZKgeRCpGv
