At this point, everyone knows that the state of Florida, under Governor Ron DeSantis’ reign of terror, is absolutely drowning in COVID-19 cases as the Delta variant continues to surge and the state’s leadership continues to refuse to push guidelines and vaccinations that would slow it down.
Over the months, DeSantis has made it clear that he will not listen to public health experts when it comes to masking, social distancing, and COVID-19 vaccines. In fact, the Trump-loving GOP governor has gone so far as to ban mask mandates in the states and try to strip the salaries of superintendents and school board members who dare to defy him and implement a mask mandate anyway — which many of them are.
We’ve known from the jump that DeSantis’ loyalty lies with Donald Trump, the corrupt GOP, and their heinous talking points that mask genocide as “freedom.”
But this… This is too much, even for Ron.

According to a new report from The Tampa Bay Times, Florida’s Ron DeSantis has been taking advice from Dr. Mark McDonald — a California psychiatrist who has recently promoted the use of a drug for COVID-19 patients that has been warned against by real public health experts for its danger after calls to poison control centers massively spiked.
Per the report, “McDonald was one of several doctors summoned by DeSantis for a July closed-door discussion on mask policies in schools. In his comments, he argued that ‘masking children is child abuse,’ according to video of the meeting later released by the governor’s office. He also likened mask mandates to apartheid, South Africa’s racist system of segregation during the 20th century.”
At this point, it seems fairly obvious that DeSantis is struggling to find legitimate medical professionals that will back his heinous ideas and agenda, so he’s grabbing whatever out-of-state quacks he can muster up.
McDonald has recently plugged the idea of Ivermectin as a legitimate treatment for coronavirus — an idea that has led uninformed and frankly idiotic human beings to dose themselves with a literal horse dewormer, despite the fact that they “don’t know what’s in” the COVID-19 vaccine.
The situation surrounding the animal deworming medication has become so dire that the FDA was forced to put out the following:
