Nunes wasn't expecting this.

While Republicans are throwing a fit over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) getting her hair done in a mostly empty hair salon without wearing a mask, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) got caught not wearing his mask properly on a commercial airplane.

The furor over Pelosi stems from security camera footage obtained by Fox News appearing to show the Democratic leader not wearing a mask at a hair salon in San Francisco.

Republicans have been in a tizzy ever since, but the incident involving Pelosi is nothing compared to Nunes not wearing his mask properly on an airplane full of passengers.

A fellow traveler caught Nunes wearing his mask on his chin in first class and even mocked him while passing through by mooing in reference to his frivolous lawsuit against parody Twitter account Devin Nunes’ Cow.

“Seen any cows lately?” the woman asks Nunes, causing him to look up in surprise.

“Mooooooooooooooo,” she said. “Moooooooooooooooooooo.”

Here’s the video:

Nunes has been far worse in response to the coronavirus pandemic than Pelosi, even once urging Americans to go out to eat at restaurants because they can “get in easily.”

Public officials, including Pelosi and Nunes, should follow the rules during this pandemic. Millions of Americans can’t work right now because of it. They certainly can’t go to salons right now. But Republicans have absolutely no room to talk considering Donald Trump has refused to wear a mask most of the time, including at a packed RNC convention event at the White House. So while Pelosi does deserve criticism, Republicans are being hypocrites.
