William Taylor has emerged as a key figure at the heart of the impeachment inquiry of Donald J. Trump, and that might explain the “president’s” manic tweeting this morning. Adding to Trump’s erratic behavior since the impeachment inquiry was launched, the former reality show star gave a bizarre interview with Sean Hannity — as if that clears him of wrongdoing.
Well, Trump should be worried because Taylor, who famously texted, “I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign” is about to “drop bombshells” during his testimony in the impeachment inquiry, according to the Daily News.
The impeachment inquiry was launched after Trump’s quid pro quo phone call with Ukraine’s leader was revealed. Trump admitted to it while talking to reporters on the White House lawn — then, of course, he quickly backpedaled. In a stunning admission, Trump’s acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney gave a disastrous interview in which he admitted that his “president” was indeed asking for favors in return for favors. As a surprise to no one ever, Mulvaney tried to claim that he didn’t say what we all heard him say.
Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine and a retired civil servant, is set to spend hours testifying behind closed doors in the impeachment inquiry. Taylor, for his part, did not fall in line with Rudy Colludy, Trump’s personal attorney. Instead, he stuck to protocol with his efforts to keep U.S. policy to Ukraine on track amid Trump’s effort to withhold military aid as leverage to dig up dirt on his rival, Joe Biden.

Taylor, a decorated career foreign service officer, who replaced ousted U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, is described as a “straight shooter.” That should terrify Trump, who is pretty much the opposite of a “straight shooter.”
“He’s a straight shooter,” a former colleague who has known Taylor for 25 years told the Daily News before Taylor was set to testify on Tuesday. They added that the longtime diplomat believes “strongly” in traditional U.S. foreign policy goals in Ukraine, particularly as it relates to pushing back on Russian aggression, and that, too, should put Trump in another manic-state.
The White House did not want Taylor to testify today but the lifelong diplomat has complied with the inquiry.
Bill Taylor was subpoenaed this AM, per official working on the impeachment inquiry because of an “attempt by the State Department to direct Ambassador William Taylor not to appear for his scheduled deposition, and efforts by the State Department to also limit any testimony”

Taylor will be remembered as a hero.
Watching Bill Taylor enter Congress now to testify and reminder of the bravery of him and other sitting officials who have chosen to testify to the House in defiance of White House and Pompeo order not to.

Trump has been fawning over Russia and its dictator. The “president” really should have been considered for an impeachment inquiry after his incredible speech in Helsinki in which he said he believed Russia over U.S. Intelligence agencies in regard to election meddling in 2016.
There is a reason Trump is the least popular “president” in this history of polling.
