Former FBI Official Rips Bill Barr To Shreds For His Resounding Silence Against Far-Right Groups Amid Riots

Someone needed to say it!

Over the course of the past several days, as protests and riots continue to gain steam all across the nation, multiple social media posts and reports have indicated that several far-right, white supremacy groups have been disguising themselves in an attempt to blend in with the Black Lives Matter movement and encouraging or even starting a lot of the property damage and mayhem that’s taking place in cities all over the country.

But, of course, when it comes to the Trump administration, we’re not hearing any condemnation of those folks. Instead, Antifa is being labeled as a terrorist organization and the president essentially called every man, woman, and child that took to the streets in protest a “thug” without so much as a whisper about the far-right hate groups’ involvement.

It’s not just the president who’s eerily silent on the topic of these white supremacy groups either. Everyone who works under Donald’s wing appears to be short on words, as well — including the US Attorney General, Bill Barr.

And one former FBI official isn’t letting America’s highest officer get away with it.

AG Bill Barr has found himself under fire today after the former assistant director for counterintelligence at the FBI, Frank Figliuzzi, ripped him to shreds for remaining silent against these white supremacy groups, despite the resounding evidence that they’re participating in these riots for no other reason than to add to the mayhem and destruction.

Figliuzzi, during a segment with MSNBC host Brian Williams, said, “We’re seeing evidence in the protests that right-wing dangerous militia groups are there. We’ve seen flags and symbols that come from both Boogaloo Bois and dangerous militia groups.”

The former FBI official went on to add that he found Trump’s threats to unleash the power and weaponry of the United States military on protesters extremely disturbing.

“Well, let me remind our viewers that we have laws in the United States that prevent the military from turning into law enforcement on the streets of America,” he explained.

Even officials from Minnesota have warned that far-right white supremacist groups seem to be encouraging the violence and property damage during the protests.

A recent Vice report noted that the Boogaloo Bois, a group that Figliuzzi referenced, have been making online posts and even posters that encourage their members to take part in the looting and destruction.

“Their approach to police brutality links the victims of the deadly standoff with federal agents at Ruby Ridge in 1992, to the victims of modern police brutality, including Floyd,” the Vice report notes of the white-supremacy groups getting involved in the riots.

“But unlike the vast majority of protesters, they refuse to acknowledge the fact that police brutality is an issue that disproportionately impacts people of color.”
