As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, New York prosecutors are now convening a grand jury to hear and weigh the pile of evidence that has been constructed against Donald Trump, which already signifies that charges may be coming down the pike against the ex-president very soon. But according to former federal prosecutor Harry Litman, the full extent of what evidence this grand jury has against the former president may be bigger than what we even realized.
Speaking on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, former federal prosecutor Harry Litman discussed the full scope of the evidence that will be presented to this grand jury against Trump, saying, “The grand jury’s going to get everything and that’s true. We know that the — that was the inception of the case, but then, they got the mother lode. They got the tax returns, going back and forth to the Supreme Court twice to get them. So, that takes all kinds of transactions of this sort and forms the basis for possibly multiple counts where people surmise and it stands to reason that it’s a similar kind of hanky-panky, changing the way you valuate same properties, one for tax to make it look low, one for loans to make it look high, that’s fraud on both entities.”
Litman goes on to add, “I think what is happening, likely, is a plethora of transactions like that, like that core one with Stormy Daniels, which we are learning is sort of the Trump way of doing business, the general MO, and also including [Trump Organization CFO Allen] Weisselberg.”
All that being said, it’s really no wonder that Donald Trump is getting more and more anxious with each passing day regarding the probable impending indictments against him, despite his little blog posts where he tries to label it all as a Democratic “witch hunt.”
