Former Republican political strategist Rick Wilson had some strong words for Donald Trump during Tuesday’s New Abnormal podcast by the Daily Beast with commentator Molly Jong-Fast. Schmidt pointed to the reports that Russia paid bounties to Taliban militants to kill U.S. soldiers to say that people will “piss on” Donald Trump’s grave forever.

“The word traitor and the word treason in this country gets abused like crazy,” Schmidt said.

“It’s true. But sometimes by you,” Jong-Fast said.

“But in this case, it’s not an abuse of the word. He met the literal definition of treason,” Schmidt explained. “He gave aid and comfort to the enemy and abetted the enemy. He did not take action. It’s not just treason. It’s high treason. It’s not just treason. It’s historic treason.”

Wilson went on to say that he believes former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama would have retaliated if they had been briefed on the reports, then he took aim at Trump.

“This is a guy who was already going down into the dustbin of history. And now there’s going to be a line at his grave where they’re going to have to throw cat litter down. Because people are gonna piss on it for all time,” Wilson said.

“Wait, things got very dark,” Jong-Fast said.

Trump, with all the intel and experts he has at his disposal, has failed to address the reports adequately, except to make himself the victim. If you’ve ever been around a narcissist, nothing is their fault. It’s everyone else’s. ALWAYS. They need to be the victim so they can manipulate their targets. If they feel criticized, they lash out at you. They are incapable of empathy. Sound familiar?

Trump kicked off his Wednesday morning by claiming that the Russian bounty reports are a “Fake News tale” used to “damage me.”

The White House initially denied that Trump was personally briefed on the intelligence reports before it became public, but that story seems to keep changing. And subsequent reports claim that the information was cited in one of Trump’s written briefs. And even if one version of their ever-changing story were true, then why isn’t President Bodybags defending our troops now instead of making it all about him?

While Trump calls it “fake news,” the reports have been confirmed by every major news outlet, as well as multiple countries. Three NATO officials told Business Insider they had been briefed on the matter by US intelligence, but Trump calls it a “hoax.” And, interestingly, Trump defends the monuments of the Confederacy, but not U.S. soldiers who are put in harm’s way. The commander in chief has let our military service members know they are on their own.
