This is a huge endorsement and Trump is not going to like it.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden just received yet another big endorsement from a former Republican governor that could have an impact on the election in Michigan.

Governor Rick Snyder (R) served as the chief executive of Michigan for eight years from 2011 to 2018 and oversaw a right-wing shift in the state. He also served during the Flint water crisis that continues to this day because of his own irresponsible decision-making.

But even he cannot bring himself to support Trump this time around and announced that he will vote for Biden in an op-ed for USA Today.

“I will continue to support and stand up for Republican policies and values, and support Republican candidates, but I will not support Donald Trump for reelection,” Snyder wrote.

One of the chief reasons why Snyder won’t support Trump is because Trump is a bully.

“President Trump’s answer to people who oppose or disagree with them is to be verbally abusive. In other words, he is a bully,” he wrote.

A great leader treats people with respect even when they present different opinions. Without a variety of views and opinions, we would have no innovation or creativity in our nation. Being a bully and being strong are not the same thing. Being strong is standing up for your convictions. Being a bully is trying to intimidate those who are perceived to be weaker or a threat. As a proud nerd, I had to deal with bullies over many years; it is tragedy watching our world suffer from one.”

Snyder also cited Trump’s failed tax cuts, ack of civility, his foreign policy that has destroyed our nation’s reputation around the globe, and his denial of science and facts that have exacerbated the coronavirus pandemic.

“I am endorsing Joe Biden for president,” Snyder concluded.

This is a pretty big endorsement because Biden currently leads Trump in Michigan according to the polls. That lead could very well grow if Snyder manages to convince some of his Republican supporters to join him in voting for Biden. That does not bode well for Trump at all, and the temper tenatrum is likely forthcoming.
