Former Trump Insider Predicted That POTUS “Will Be Impeached Again” If He Wins A Second Term

Let's just hope we don't have to worry about a second term, shall we?

It’s crystal clear at this point that the only thing Trump’s impeachment process, including his official impeachment in the House and ultimate acquittal in the Senate, has accomplished is making the man even more brazen in his corruption.

At this point, the dude’s not even worried about it anymore. He pretty much knows that as long as he keeps Congress stacked with his jockeys, it doesn’t much matter what he does — he’ll get off scot-free in the end. And one former Trump insider has a sneaking suspicion that this boost in confidence will ultimately lead to Donald finding himself impeached a second time should he be reelected.

George Mason University law professor and former member of the Trump transition team J.W. Verret sat down for a segment with CNN recently where he discussed the very real possibility of Donald Trump being emboldened enough to commit yet another impeachable crime and subsequently finding himself paying the consequences of such once again.

CNN co-anchor Jim Sciutto questioned Verret, stating, “You say the president feels empowered now. I wonder if, in your view, this will lead the president to feel he can seek foreign help in the election. They are vetting information Rudy Giuliani gathered in Ukraine from very questionable sources.”

“I think there’s no question but that he will attempt to do it,” the former Trump insider replied. “It’s shameful to see what happened to Lt. Col. Vindman. I’m not sorry to see Sondland go, he didn’t acquit himself well. He participated in a violation of law. It took two or three times to come forward to Congress. The Vindman firing isn’t acceptable. The only thing to prevent Trump to collude with a foreign power for a third time looks like front-runners, probably Russia doesn’t have any dirt on them. Maybe they can hack the servers. It’s worrisome.”

“He will be impeached again, I don’t know for what, and it will be legitimate,” he added. “It could be for things personal having to do with his company.”

“Just to stick on that for a moment, if people missed in the intro when I said you worked for the president, on the transition team,” co-anchor Poppy Harlow chimed in. “You were a believer, a supporter, and now you’re saying he’s going to be impeached again.”

“I was a Marco Rubio supporter in the primary,” Verret explained. “I jumped on the transition team to help out, and I left before he was elected because I saw what was going on. On the transition team, the conventional wisdom there was, don’t mess with the foreign policy stuff because there’s some weird stuff going on with Ukraine. I don’t know, something to do with Russia and Ukraine. It was just too strange for me, and that’s why I left.”

Trump’s always looking to be the first at everything. If he manages to weasel his way into a second term, it certainly looks like he’ll be the first president to ever have his ass impeached twice. Though, I’m not so sure that’s something to be proud of.
