It seems as though the corruption spread far and wide when it comes to the Trump administration.

According to a new report, one former Trump official is set to deliver his testimony in the trial of a rich banker who allegedly attempted to buy his way into a job in the disgraced, corrupt ex-president’s administration.

Bloomberg reports that former White House official Anthony Scaramucci will soon be testifying on the alleged sweetheart loans, totalling about $16 million, given to former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort by the founder and chief executive of Federal Savings Bank Stephen Calk in a supposed effort to secure himself a job in the Pentagon during Donald Trump’s presidential term.

The report claims that Calk “greenlighted” the massive loans “in exchange for a cabinet post or ambassadorship.”

“Scaramucci is expected to testify ‘that Manafort asked him to get Calk an interview for the position of Secretary of the Army, and that he complied with the request despite believing that Calk was not qualified,” the report reads.

Bloomberg’s Bob Van Vooris goes on to report, “The testimony may shed light on the early days of the Trump administration, including the struggles to staff the White House and top levels of the U.S. government following his surprising victory over Hillary Clinton.”

Calk has thus far denied the charges filed against him in a Manhattan court, despite a document titled, “Stephen M. Calk Perspective Rolls (sic) in the Administration,” in which he suggested that he would also be interested in the Treasury Secretary position.

The report claims that Scaramucci sent a text to Manafort saying, “Would he take under secretary of the Army? Are we double sure? If so, I think we can get it done.”

“Minutes after receiving the text, Manafort called Calk, talking with him for more than 11 minutes about the administration role but also a $6.5 million loan, prosecutors said,” the report claimed, adding that Manafort responded to Scaramucci’s text, saying, “Yes he will def take it.”
