Former US Attorney Confirmed Enough Evidence Exist From J6 Committee To Indict Donald Trump On A “20-Year Felony”

Throw the book at him!

Just when Donald Trump thought life couldn’t possibly get any worse for him, former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade made an appearance on MSNBC this morning, where she confirmed that she has seen and heard enough evidence presented by the January 6th House Select Committee to indict the scandal-ridden ex-president on felony charges that pack a whopping 20-year prison sentence.

McQuade made her appearance with MSNBC’s fill-in host, Sam Stein, and admitted that there’s really been no single one smoking gun that she feels could bring the former guy crashing down. However, the legal expert was quick to note that doesn’t mean there aren’t piles of evidence mounting against Donald Trump, and the lack of one singular piece of bombshell evidence would not sway her from filing federal charges against the ex-president, given the opportunity.

MSNBC host Sam Stein asked, “Is there an actual text or email from Trump ordering anyone to, sort of, literally breach the capitol and go attack lawmakers? and, if not, how crucial is that for trump as he faces the prospect of additional trials and scrutiny from the DOJ going forward?”

“Well, it’s important to separate the two missions,” McQuade answered. “The one of Congress which is to tell the whole story, that one O of DOJ which is to prove the crimes.”

“I have not heard the direct link that could make the case for seditious conspiracy for Donald Trump — certainly lots of circumstantial evidence,” the legal expert went on to explain. “But I also think it does not matter, if they can prove other crimes, that will do the job.”

“Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding is a 20-year felony, it’s a very serious crime,” McQuade said. “Thursday I did hear additional elements that advances the ball there. The DOJ has to go in and investigate all of the facts, they have to look at the other side and they have to anticipate every defense. They have to essentially disprove the negative that there is some explanation for all of this. But what we heard Thursday is really important to advancing that crime. Previously, it had been framed as a failure to act.”

It’s high time someone acts and holds this man accountable for his countless crimes.
