Over the past nearly three years, Donald Trump has rightfully gained himself a plethora of critics — ranging from die-hard Democrats to Republicans with a shred of common sense, to his own political consultant Kellyanne Conway’s husband George.
However, one of the best Trump detractors these days is none other than former official White House photographer, Pete Souza, who worked during the Obama administration capturing endless, now-bittersweet memories from a time when we had a president we could actually be proud of.
Frankly, that’s what makes him one of the best. Unlike anyone else, Souza has the ability to draw comparisons between Donald Trump and his predecessor, with real photographic evidence, in a way that others simply can’t.
And lucky for us, that’s precisely what he does.

Recently, after Trump’s hand-written note debacle on the heels of Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s testimony, Souza graced us all with a side by side image of Obama’s sheet of thorough, well thought out notes compared against Donald’s note bad with a handful of jargon scribbled in big, black Sharpie.
And now the artist has surfaced once again after Trump made a complete fool out of himself and our country during his recent NATO trip — the one where he was mocked by his fellow world leaders (most prominently Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau) and ended up leaving early with his head held in shame.
As a result of Trump’s hissy fit, the Obama-era photographer took to his Instagram account and posted a photo of Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau happily sitting next to each other with smiles on their faces and their arms held up high in the air.
Souza captioned the image with an apparent dig at our current “president” saying the picture was reminiscent of a time when “a world leader wasn’t laughing AT the President of the United States.”

The former Obama photographer certainly hasn’t limited his comparisons between a real president and the joke that is Donald Trump to his Instagram account either, having published a book back in October that outlined all the reasons Trump is unfit for the presidency through a variety of visual representations.
It’s pretty clear that saying America downgraded this time is the understatement of the year. We’re little more than a laughingstock now. And it’s all thanks to Donald Trump.
